The purposes of the association are —
1. Advancing social and public welfare by supporting such projects as those addressing homelessness, supporting people with a mental illness or any other disability, assisting with emergency relief, food provision and any other project meeting this criteria.
2. Advancing the security and safety of the public by supporting projects aimed at protecting society’s most vulnerable groups, for example women and children at risk of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse.
3. Advancing educational opportunities designed to help relieve poverty amongst people from disadvantaged backgrounds or within cultures where historically education is not available or is limited by demographics.
4. Advancing the health of communities by supporting projects dedicated to providing direct support, education and research in relation to defined health conditions, eg. Cancer, mental illness.
5. Wherever possible, to focus on supporting sustainable projects which increase awareness of and assist in protection of the environment, as well as meeting the requirements set out in points 1-4.
6. The sole purpose of the organisation is to raise funds for established projects or new projects initiated by Twin Hearts Inc, which meet the above criteria.
All profits will be donated throughout the year at times deemed appropriate by the Committee, with the general aim being to divide funds between local projects and international projects. Occasionally, fundraising events may be held to support one or more identified specific charities or projects, in which
case the division of funds will be at the Committee’s discretion.
